Worn by a sick person to reduce the spread of germs
Influenza (flu) is a very infectious disease. It is thought to
spread primarily via coughing, sneezing, and exhaling and from
touching something which the sick person has touched or
coughed/sneezed on.
When caring for or otherwise being around someone who has the
H1N1 swine flu, it's important to protect yourself from flu
viruses that may be on trash cans, bed linens, pajamas (bed
clothes), towels, or other items handled by the sick person.
Latex, vinyl or nitrile gloves help protect your hands from
germs. (Nitrile gloves are used by people who are allergic
to latex rubber.)
These protective gloves are also useful when cleaning areas
where the sick person has been spending time - bedroom,
bathroom, etc.
Some gloves are one-size-fits-all while others come in small,
medium, and large sizes. They fit either hand. Some are lightly
powdered to make them easier to put on and take off, while
others are powder-free.
